When it comes to Nike SB, Todd Jordan’s most well known colorway designs include a pair of Blazers and the Nike SB Dunk High Hulk.
The colors reflect a camouflage design. However, these have a different nickname thanks to their resemblance to the comic book character. The initial idea behind the colorway explains why the insole is bright orange. A purple insole would fall more in line with a true “Hulk” theme.
I find these to work well with black or medium wash denim and a white or grey top. The different shades of green along with the black swoosh have these working with odd combinations of colors. Some sort of dark green or camo could work with these, but it seems like overdoing it a bit.
Materials
The materials on these are for the most part good. I’ve found a problem with eyelet rub on the toebox. This area has the least buttery suede on the shoe, but the dark green suede and leather swoosh are very premium. The quality on the suede is leaps ahead of any modern SB release.
Fit
The Nike SB Dunk High Hulk fits true to size. Thanks to the quality materials, the fit is extremely comfortable. The pliable uptoebox material allows for some stretch.
If it’s great materials on a pair of dunks that you are after, this is the time period to search. I spend a few seconds touching the lush dark green suede every time I take these out of the box!
